Children’s Ministry

Welcome to the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington Children’s Ministry!

Our children’s ministry provides a vibrant and engaging environment where kids learn about Jesus and His love for them. Through creative activities and meaningful lessons, we aim to nurture their faith and equip families to support their spiritual growth.

What to Expect:

In our children’s ministry, kids have a blast discovering who Jesus is and how deeply He loves them through Sunday School. We’re committed to teaching your child about God in fun, creative, and practical ways. Our aim is to help them understand who God is while also equipping you with the tools to continue their spiritual growth at home, fostering a deeper relationship with the Savior.

Sunday Mornings:

On Sunday mornings, children join adults in worship for the beginning of the service, where they receive a brief lesson to start their day. At 10:15, they are then dismissed to their Sunday School, where they are taught about the Bible by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about investing in their lives. This structured yet engaging time allows kids to explore Scripture in a supportive environment while fostering their spiritual growth.

Our Nursery

During our worship service, we provide a staffed nursery to ensure that parents have a comfortable and worry-free experience. Our nursery is a safe and welcoming space where trained volunteers care for babies and toddlers, allowing parents to fully engage in the service. We understand the importance of both spiritual growth and family, so our nursery team is dedicated to offering attentive and loving care to the youngest members of our congregation.

Our Director of Christian Education:

Sara Maus has been a dedicated part of our team since August of 2016, serving as both our Christian Education Director and the Director of Timber Faith Preschool. With a deep passion for childhood education, Sara is committed to nurturing spiritual growth in children and guiding them closer to Jesus. Her heartfelt dedication and experience make her an invaluable resource in shaping the spiritual journey of our young ones.
